What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is an FDA-approved injectable weight loss medication that works by slowing the movement of food through the stomach, which may decrease appetite and cause weight loss.
Semaglutide is in a class of medications called incretin mimetics. Incretin mimetics activate GLP-1 receptors and inhibit glucagon secretion which in turn lowers blood sugar.

How will Semaglutide medication be administered?

How frequently do I take my medication?
Tirzepatide is a once weekly injection. You may take it in the morning, afternoon, or evening; whatever works best for your schedule. However, we do recommend taking on an empty stomach.
How long is the entire duration?
The length of each protocol varies by weight loss goal, health, ability to adhere to the protocol, etc. You could theoretically be on it for as few as 3 months (minimum), but as far as we know at this point, you could remain on the protocol until you reach your goal weight or to maintain it without drastic lifestyle change or deprivation.
Are there side effects with Tirzepatide?
There may be! Because the medication is influencing quite a few processes in the body, the potential for side effects exists but will vary by individual. If experienced, these do usually decline with time as the body adjusts: nausea, Digestive disturbances (constipation or diarrhea), abdominal discomfort (gas, bloating), low energy, fatigue, detox symptoms, blood sugar changes, emotion, mood, and hormonal changes. Our practitioner will slowly increase the dosage over time to minimize what side effects you may experience.
