The reason I say this is I gave her a mess to work with and she went and above and beyond to make sure my lips were perfect. Not only did she make sure I loved the final result (which I did)!, her bedside manner is extremely rare to find! Kiva is 5 stars across the board. Everyone is very welcoming and Melissa, the injector, is so knowledgeable and advises you on what you need, not what you want. I sometimes forget that injectors are nurses first. The last visit to see Melissa, my low blood sugar caused me to faint in her chair. She cared for me, in the office, until I felt well enough to drive home. Fainting is always scary, and Melissa's bedside manner REMINDED me that she is a nurse first, and for that care she offered, as well as her methodical approach to her work, she is my only go to now for injectables. The whole staff is also really great especially Raylea, the sunshine you'll see at the desk. 5 STARS

Tirzepatide (otherwise known by brand name Mounjaro) is a medication used to help patients with type 2 diabetes navigate glycemic control (lower blood sugar and lose weight. In July of 2022, a study was published describing the weight loss benefits of Tirzepatide. Participants in the study lost on average over 20% of their body weight.

Tirzepatide is administered as a weekly injection under the skin, unusually in the stomach, thigh or upper arm. Tirzepatide can also be administered with or without meals at any point in the day.

How frequently do I take my medication?

Tirzepatide is a once weekly injection. You may take it in the morning, afternoon, or evening; whatever works best for your schedule. However, we do recommend taking on an empty stomach.

How long is the entire duration?

The length of each protocol varies by weight loss goal, health, ability to adhere to the protocol, etc. You could theoretically be on it for as few as 3 months (minimum), but as far as we know at this point, you could remain on the protocol until you reach your goal weight or to maintain it without drastic lifestyle change or deprivation.

Are there side effects with Tirzepatide?

There may be! Because the medication is influencing quite a few processes in the body, the potential for side effects exists but will vary by individual. If experienced, these do usually decline with time as the body adjusts: nausea, Digestive disturbances (constipation or diarrhea), abdominal discomfort (gas, bloating), low energy, fatigue, detox symptoms, blood sugar changes, emotion, mood, and hormonal changes. Our practitioner will slowly increase the dosage over time to minimize what side effects you may experience.
