Before starting, our provider will apply an extra-strength prescription numbing cream to the area to help you feel more at ease during the procedure. Once 20 minutes have passed, they will start the treatment. Using the SkinPen, our provider will treat the affected area using circular motions.
You may feel a slight vibration as the device is moved across your skin, but the numbing agent will prevent you from feeling the fine needles used by the device.
What Happens After the Session?
After the session, you will likely experience redness like a mild sunburn. You may also notice swelling as well as pinpoint bruises or bleeding. Within 48 hours, this will all subside, and you won’t be able to tell that you’ve recently undergone a procedure.
Results are usually noticeable within one to two weeks of your appointment as skin cells begin to regenerate. After a month, more noticeable results will appear.
